Insurance claim what to do

Recommended Posts

We have just had exactly the same thing! We're based in Portsmouth but one of our stock cars (BMW X3) was evidently in a hit and run in Wembley (North London). We provided photographic evidence of the photo we took of the Speedo on the date we put the car on sale along with the photo properties date. The current mileage is only 107 miles more which means it could not have completed the round trip.

The police confirmed that the car involved was a BMW however were less than forthcoming when asked about make and colour. We are confident about the outcome but the way the letter is written is of concern. It basically accuses us and we must inform our insurance company of the accident..

Hopefully they'll come back with an apology...Not!!

hi Tony911,

I also handled this type of situation.Better you choose a good cheap car insurance policy. Lot of insurers give a clear idea for you with their insurance quotes. First you should compare market insurance to get a clear idea.

Brilliant now I'm confused.com:blink:

Anyway this matter got dealt with last week and our insurers have voided the claim and will not entertain it:D we had the customers phone number saved and 1 call to him and he was very helpful and still has the car no issues what so ever. He sent some pictures of the original autotrader advert which he had screenshotted and sent to his partner. They was still showing on his messenger he forwarded it on to us and we passed them on to our insurers and explaining they are 2 different cars and number plates must have been cloned, they agreed and have voided the claim. Thanks every one for the advice and another lesson learned from this forum. WE NOW KEEP ALL IMAGES OF CARS ON OUR PC FOR ANY FUTURE ISSUES
