8.4.08: Issue two rolling off the presses

Time 11:34 am, April 8, 2008

IT’S without doubt the scariest day of the month – press day. If I’ve got things planned well enough it should only be a case of reading the final pages and uploading them to the printer’s server, but it’s always a whole lot more stressful than that.

I’m writing this sat on a train scything through the Sussex countryside en route to a meeting in sunny Croydon with Mondial. It’s been a long weekend and two days since the mag left my desktop and starting rolling off the presses, but I’m still nervous.

I won’t truly relax until I see a copy in my hand; until I’ve had the chance to see the pages in the flesh. There’s only so much proofing, checking and re-checking you can do before giving the printers the green light. Now isn’t really the time to be worrying, though. There’s not really much I can do about any mistakes at this point!

So, when do you get to see a copy? Well, I’ve been promised my office copies tomorrow, which will mean they go out in the post the same evening from the printers. All being well that could mean some of you get yours on Friday/Saturday this week.

But that’s only if Royal Mail are being kind (doubtful) – chances are you are more likely to have Car Dealer issue two land on your desk in the middle of next week.

Hope you like the next edition. The first seemed to go down very well with you guys – especially considering the amazing response we’ve had with dealers confirming their subscriptions on this website (click the tab on the left if you haven’t done yours yet).

Seems like our new glossy format magazine for the motor trade has hit the spot!

Happy selling…
