IF you’re looking to sell vans any time soon, make sure it comes with ply lining and side loading doors.
That’s the message from BCA after the firm researched the most popular van optional extras.
It’s often hard to know exactly what extras buyers in the used market are looking for, so this new research is bound to help.
The auction house has come up with a list of extras that buyers like to have on their commercial vehicles.
‘When we are offering upwards of 400 vans in some of our bigger sales, you really notice how the buyers gravitate towards the best presented and well specified models,’ said a spokesman for BCA.
‘If you are a professional buyer for retail, you know that certain vehicles will stand out in adverts and on the forecourt, and you want those on your shopping list.
‘In a similar fashion, the end user buying at auction will seek out the best vehicle they can buy with the budget they’ve got – and if a van with twin side loading doors, a bulkhead and air-conditioning is on offer that will be the one they bid for, if all the other vans available are basic models.’
