Caterham insurance

Caterham Insurance aims to cater for the specific needs of Seven drivers – which are generally very different indeed to those of ‘normal’ motorists.

Take track days. Most insurers wouldn’t even dream of offering this. Yet, within sensible limits, it’s included in the Caterham package.

Modifications, too, are catered for, rather than frowned upon. That, again, is because most Seven drivers indulge in varying degrees of personalisation.

All this is why the scheme is open only to Seven drivers. Caterham sales and marketing director, Andy Noble, explained the move: ‘For the thrill of driving and the joy of ownership, the Seven simply can’t be compared to any other vehicle; this is why Caterham believe it can’t be insured the same way.’

‘With our own insurance, customers are able to come to one of our showrooms and, whether it’s a new or used car they’re interested in, we can sort a complete deal under one roof.’

It extends Caterham’s ownership package offered by dealers, which includes new and used sales, servicing, customising, track day experience packages, even a fully-approved race series.

Presumably, the insurance scheme means extra profit for dealers too, who can now offer customers yet one more arm of an all-inclusive package.

Caterham Insurance includes…

* Track day insurance
* Breakdown cover
* 24 / 7 / 365 days claims. All repair work by Caterham
* Windscreen cover – no excess if repaired by Caterham
* 4 years introductory No Claims Bonus
* Agreed value
* Modifications accepted
