NEXT week sees us getting our glad rags on for a pre-Christmas party that’s sure to be a real cracker.
That’s right – next Monday night we’ll be marking the best of the best in both the used car sector and the automotive industry’s internet endeavours. The Car Dealer Used Car Awards and Ewards will be a very glitzy affair held in central London, and if last year’s awards do is anything to go by, guests will be treated to a very special evening.
But that’s next week; for the past few weeks we’ve been crunching the numbers and reading every nomination form that appeared at Car Dealer towers and using that information to create the awards night shortlist.
You’ll see there are some familiar names in there – dealers who have been awarded for their efforts in the past and know how to run a successful operation. But there are some new names mentioned and, if there’s one thing that’s for sure, the small players really know how to mix it with the big boys.
Last year’s Used Car Awards really was a fantastic thing to be a part of. Dealers told us that by winning an award or finishing in a highly commended or commended place, they received some great PR. They’ll be featured in the next issue of the magazine, and as there will be some guests who know their way around the internet too, they’ll get some great social media attention.
