Time 11:30 am, December 15, 2016

WOLVERHAMPTON-BASED Volvo dealer Brindley Group has appointed new recruits and a new general sales manager to support its growth.

Brindley Wolverhampton relocated to a new state-of-the-art Volvo dealership in West Street in October as part of a £1 million investment and has now recruited a new sales manager, product specialist and local business specialist.

Kal Plaha, pictured above, kick-started the recruitment drive at Brindley, joining as local business specialist. Responsible for corporate and fleet sales both large and small, she will be available to support and discuss any business’s vehicle needs and brings five years of Volvo experience to the role.

As Volvo continues to transform its design and brand direction to enhance customer service levels, Brindley has recruited James Harris as product specialist to guide customers through the buying and ownership experience.

James Elkes, Brindley director, said: ‘Kal and James are fantastic additions to our already 20-strong team and bring with them a strong mix of experience and a passion for knowledge on all things Volvo. Business sales within Brindley is a busy and expanding department at the dealership, so Kal is joining at a very exciting time for us, while James will support our sales team to continually help deliver excellent service to our customers.’

Following 12 years of service at Brindley Volvo, starting out as a sales consultant, David Gutteridge has been appointed as the dealership’s new general sales manager. Having held managerial roles for several years, he has a wealth of knowledge on Volvo and the wider motor trade.

‘David has spent over a decade working with Brindley and is a real asset to the team. His promotion to general sales manager is a testament to his commitment, dedication and hard work over the years. On behalf of the group, we’d like to wish him every success with his new position,’ added Elkes.

Brindley is currently rolling out Volvo Personal Service training within the dealership, which streamlines aftersales functions to improve workshop efficiency, while delivering a much more personal service to customers via dedicated service technicians.
