A CAR dealer in Leeds attempted to sell a Mercedes CLK 230 Kompressor with a very unusual optional extra.

The seller had listed the 2002 convertible saloon on Auto Trader for £700 but with an added £360 release fee for the car as it’s currently clamped!

Anyone looking to buy the car may struggle to arrange a test drive, although viewing is available at its current location.

The car’s description listed a wealth of options, with cosmetic upgrades including metallic black paint, leather seats, an AMG body kit and AMG alloy wheels. There are added creature comforts such as cruise control, air conditioning, electric and heated mirrors and electric windows.

However, despite being parked on a public road, the car is currently without any tax and the DVLA have confirmed this is why it was clamped.

Car Dealer Magazine has approached the seller who declined to comment.

Auto Trader has now removed the advert from its website.
