The car dealership that’s become a polling station for the day!

Time 12:59 pm, December 12, 2019

A HAMPSHIRE car dealership has been pressed into service as a polling station for today’s general election.

Petersfield Used Car Centre has been welcoming voters ever since the polls opened early this morning – and it’s the third time the business has performed the role.

The business is part of the Winchester Motor Group, a family-owned company that has been serving motorists for more than 50 years.

Situated in Winchester Road, it sells a range of high-quality pre-owned vehicles from marques such as Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz.

The car centre has remained open for sales while voting takes place – and it’s not the only unusual polling station in town. The White Horse pub has also been set up to welcome voters.
