Fast Focus flying out

Time 7:58 am, September 11, 2008

sdfsdfsdfsd.jpgONE car certainly seems to be selling – and it’s a model nobody’s even driven yet!

Ford has confirmed over 1000 orders have been placed for the new Focus RS, the superhatch that arrives early next year.

Although pricing and other details remain sketchy for now, enough punters have been convinced to hand over cash deposits to dealers, in order to secure their place on the waiting list.

One thing’s certain, though – 40 per cent of people are determined to have the Electric Green launch colour of the model! Other dramatic hues include white and blue.

Roelant de Waard, chairman and MD of Ford of Britain said: ‘We’re delighted by the reaction of performance car enthusiasts to the new Focus RS and that so many want to place orders even though it will not be available until early next year.’

The company confirmed to us that we won’t even be driving it before the year is out, so those eager customers really will have to wait until 2009 to take delivery. Thing is, we kinda suspect it’s going to be worth the wait…
