fiat dealer fender guitar prize imageFIAT has just awarded a rare prize Fender guitar to a rock group star.

Guitarist Nick Hughes of The Crane Brothers won the limited edition Fender, after headlining the Fiat 500 PicNic event in London’s Alexandra Park earlier this year.

An example of Fiat’s creative marketing approach for launching the 500, the party used an X-Factor-style audition to select the headline act.

The Crane Brothers won. Part of the prize was the special Fender guitar, which ahs just been presented in Fiat’s flagship Marylebone dealer in Wigmore Street.

Fiat Marylebone MD Tony Dittli presented the prize, which featured custom artwork designed for Fiat.

‘Winning the prize was a great honour for us,’ says Nick. ‘It was good to work with such an exciting, lively and family-orientated company as Fiat, and to play a part in recognising such a cool and iconic car as the Fiat 500.’

‘We’re used to handing over desirable objects here at the Fiat flagship, so it was a great pleasure to host the presentation of a superb guitar,’ said Dittli.

‘Nick is always welcome back here if he wants to soundcheck a Fiat 500.’
