FIRST RESPONSE Finance is backing an actor turned motorcycle racer in this season’s Triumph Triple Challenge.

Andy Shim – or Shimy as he likes to be called – has appeared in a number of top movies such as This is England.

The 24-year-old, from Nottingham has acted alongside a whole host of stars over the past few years including Paddy Considine (The Bourne Ultimatum), Robert Carlyle (The World is not Enough), Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) and Ricky Tomlinson (The Royal Family) to name just a few.

But now the actor is turning his attentions to racing – and he’s pretty good at that too! Andy has won two out of his four races and consistently finished within the top 10 in last season’s Sound of Thunder Championship, and he is now looking forward to a full season of racing in the 2008 Triumph Triple Challenge.

The Triumph Triple Challenge consists of 38 riders on identical Triumph 675s – the bikes are allowed no modifications, so the fastest rider wins!

‘Working alongside such talented actors has been an amazing achievement, however being given the opportunity to pursue my real passion in racing is amazing, however this would have not been possible without the help and support of First Response Finance,’ said Andy.

‘Being a racer, I know how hard it is to secure any form of help so I intend on utilising my success in acting and my skills in racing to increase First Response business in the motorcycle industry.’

The Triumph Triple Challenge starts its season on March 22 at Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit and has nine meetings in 2008.
