‘Heap of the week’ on the market at Hertfordshire dealership

Time 12:09 pm, May 20, 2016

A DEALERSHIP in Hemel Hempstead is advertising one of its vehicles for sale with a less-than-flattering description.

The 2002 MG TF in question would seem to be a decent low-price convertible, with 85,000 miles on the clock and a 1.8-litre engine.

However, the advert for the vehicle, on the market with Legacy Motors, features a headline which may put potential buyers off straight away – ‘True heap of the week’.

From there, it gets even less complimentary.

The dealership adds: ‘We dislike these cars with a passion. What a woeful looking, hateful, poorly made, sloppy handling pile of dung.

‘It’s all a bit tragic really, it starts, drives and runs fine.

‘The tyres are great, and probably the most valuable things on the car. Any rust you find on it is free of charge.

‘The interior of the car is OK, some wear through the horrible cheap leatherette and suede effect excuse of the front seats – probably worn from the owner getting in and out many times to push it home!”

The dealership selling the car reports that it specialises in Jaguar, BMW and Range Rover vehicles.

The ad concludes: ‘The icing on the cake is we’ve put a new battery on it… If it’s your wife’s birthday soon why not treat on – go on, we dare you.’
