STURGESS Land Rover of Leicester, one of the UK’s oldest Land Rover retailers, hosted the new Defender at a special preview event recently.

The event was attended by more than 200 customers who were able to view the new Defender alongside the current Land Rover and Range Rover range.

Also on display was a 1949 Series 1 Land Rover kindly loaned from the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Heritage Vehicle Collection, a very rare Defender 90 NAS V8 soft-top and a fully restored 1975 Range Rover.

Sturgess took orders for the new Defender on the day, along with selling a number of other new and used vehicles during the event.

Company chairman Chris Sturgess said: ‘We are very grateful to our customers for coming to see this fabulous new vehicle and their reaction to it was excellent.

‘Our dealership team did a fantastic job of making all our visitors feel relaxed and well informed about the new Defender and I am confident we will see more orders as a result of the preview day.’
