TWO car firms have appointed new remarketing managers to help their dealer community. Fiat and Kia have announced new appointments as the brands move to support franchises across the country.

Fiat has appointed Simon Wheeler to the role of Used Vehicle Remarketing Manager, reporting to Fleet and Remarketing Director Adam Pumfrey.

He takes responsibility for the disposal of all Fiat Group owned vehicles into the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Fiat Professional dealer networks.

He also takes on responsibility for managing and growing the Fiat and Alfa Romeo approved used vehicle schemes across the UK.

Wheeler, previously with Trader Media Group, and before that, director of company vehicles, used cars and distribution for MG Rover, started his career in the early seventies with dealer group Dutton Forshaw.

‘Fiat Group is a growing force within the UK motor industry and the efficient management of used cars through both the wholesale pipeline and the retail channel is vital,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Kia has appointed Andrew Sellars as the company’s new Head of Fleet and Remarketing.

Andrew, 39, will spearhead the company’s recently re-focused sales efforts in the fleet and business sectors, supporting the brand’s Fleet Specialist Dealer network across the country.

In his new role he will lead the company’s Fleet sales team and contract hire team as well as developing the Fleet Specialist Dealer programme allowing Kia dealers to capitalise on the brand’s excellent value and styled products by selling into businesses in their local markets.

Yaser Shabsogh, Sales Director, said: ‘Andrew is the perfect individual for this role because he has such extensive experience of our dealer network.’
