Mitsubishi employee to skydive for charity

Time 10:21 am, October 23, 2015

A MITSUBISHI dealership employee is raising money for charity this weekend by skydiving from 13,000ft.

Sarah Field, who is the head of marketing and a sales executive at the family-run Fields, which boasts showrooms in Bromsgrove and Dunley in Worcestershire, will be jumping out of a plane on a tandem skydive accompanied by an instructor.

Raising money for the mental health charity Mind, Field said: ‘I struggle to look down one storey of a building, but a couple of friends have done it before and I thought if they can do it so can I, plus it is all in a good cause. Mind is a brilliant charity and one that’s close to my heart, and this seemed a really good way of raising money.

‘That said, I’m not doing it for the donations as such, but to raise awareness of the charity as well as mental health in general, which still has something of a stigma attached to it. But obviously the donations will be a great benefit, because any money that I’m able to raise will be greatly appreciated.

‘I’m terrified but also really looking forward to the jump. It will be a great four minutes and I know that once I’m in the plane I can’t back out!’

The skydive is due to take place at Hinton Airfield in Brackley, Northamptonshire, on Sunday October 25.
