SOLIHULL Renault has just announced a sponsorship deal with its local ice hockey club.
The Renault Retail Group member will become main sponsor of the Solihull Barons – a deal that includes shirt sponsorship and an official name change for the team.
The team, which competes in the English National League North 2, will get a new strip featuring the Renault diamond.
It will also enjoy support both on and off the ice. The partnership extends to club running costs throughout the season.
Ian Plummer, MD of Renault Retail Group, said: ‘Renault has long been committed to supporting local sports teams and projects throughout the UK and this new sponsorship deal further strengthens this pledge.
‘Ice hockey is a very popular sport in Solihull and Renault is extremely proud to be a part of something that has such a positive impact on the local community.’
Renault Solihull, located on Stratford Road, is part of Renault Retail Group, the French maker’s flagship dealer group. Its 25 dealers account for over a fifth of all Renault sales in the UK.
