The Warranty Group picks up gong

Time 2:59 am, March 18, 2008

THE Warranty Group’s new customer relationship management software called ‘The Connection’ has been named CRM Implementation of the Year in The Times newspaper-backed National Sales Awards 2008.

The system, introduced last year and based online, is designed to simplify procedures for dealers by reducing both time and paperwork.

Launched in 1997 and sponsored by leading organisations including The Times and Vodafone, the National Sales Awards are well established as recognising the best in the professional sales industry. The Connection was also a finalist in the Vodafone Best Use of Technology category.

Ian Simpson, sales and marketing director at The Warranty Group, said: ‘A good CRM system is essential for a business like ours that aims to make its products as easy as possible to use for dealers and end users.

‘The investment that we have made in The Connection is considerable, in terms of money, time and training, but the benefits that warranty customers, dealers and ourselves are now enjoying are very real. Sales have increased whilst costs and errors have been reduced.’

The Warranty Group is part of the Onex Group, with assets of $19bn. In the UK, the company has more than 13 million live warranties and is a leading provider in the motor industry of warranty products including GAP insurance and extended service plans.
