  1. depends on who carried out the conversion, ive had a few that have had different type of seat fitted which is smaller to accomodate wheelchair
  2. bca assured is no benefit, i bought a focus 1.0 zetec 2014, 61k warranted,gd3,2 panels previous, it arrived in northern ireland with everything bar roof painted, and mechanically low on coolant, more or less told me to f*** off when i put in a complaint. had tp repaint 2 sides, steering rack, turbo, vacuum pump and the list goes on, £2000 spent on it to leave it ready for sale
  3. 2 metre rule they say,and cars silver so from a distance for retail buyer it looks fine front bumper and 2 sides to repaint, lines are slightly uneven on 2 of the doors and runs of lacquer on each panel on passenger side
  4. my bodyman reckons £750-1000, i asked if i could get a 2nd independant assessor and was told it wasnt open for negotiation and car wudnt be re graded and case closed
  5. hi everyone, just a wee heads up as ive never came across it before. i bought 14 focus from measham bca online, car was grade3, inspection had advised bumper and one door previously repaired. car arrived 12 days ago and after inspection by me, car has been all repaired and repainted apart from roof. contacted bca, sent 50+ photos explaining in my view car misdescribed , rang few days later to be told that my case/claim had been handed to arbitrator and somebody would contact me in due course.two days ago i was contacted by a regional assessor and inspection was done yesterday by him. on exiting my yard he told me he thought i was wasting my time as poor previous has to be identified from 2 metres. so following a call from bca this morning, they have rejected on my claim saying car falls into gd3 standards and the fact that 11 panels have been repaired is no concern of bca. has anyone any thoughts on this? ive been buying from bca 15years and this is first issue ive had

  7. send me a few pics and some details, ive a guy looking a cheap 4wd, fuel wouldnt matter a.boyd222@btinternet.com
  8. is it 2wd or 4wd? what age is it?
  9. i had issue with a 11 grand picasso, slow gear change and sometimes not driving/flashing gearbox error, wasted 3 wks with indy garage and ended up going to citroen dealer and changed everything £1200
  10. thanks guys, warranty account be opened asap. £150 for bread n butter stuff and £500 for meaty stuff
  11. rac warranties cost me around £3k,i got back around £1k from them plus it cost me £2k for things that rac wouldnt cover
  12. im a small dealer, rural based and my customer was doctor in local hospital, my bmw guy is based in donegal in southern ireland, he charged me €600 as he checked all wiring and all motors to ensure all areas covered, 3 days in total spent,€200 labour per day, hes an excellent bmw indy. my point is out of 30 warranties taken out with rac this year, only 3 claims have been made and all 3 were not enough to cover cost of repair. this is why ive asked for advice as to whether to do it myself
  13. lesson learned i think,my mechanic is £20 per hour
