FERRARI has launched a new 195mph special edition, to celebrate its sixteenth Formula 1 Constructor’s World Championship.
The Scuderia Spider 16M is said to be the fastest open-top Ferrari ever clocked around the company’s own Fiorano test track!
Just 499 examples of the Ferrari will be built. The Scuderia Spider 16M is capable of hitting 62mph in just 3.7 seconds.
Ferrari offers it in two ‘signature’ colour schemes: black with grey trim, or a tricolour livery as part of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme.
The Scuderia Spider 16M is also marked out by a special plaque on the rear grille, and another one on the dashboard. There’s even a customised Ferrari iPod Touch – with a 16 GB memory, of course.
A 510hp 4.3-litre V8 screams to an 8640rpm redline, and produces a howling 118.4hp per litre. Ample, particularly as the Ferrari is, at 1340kg, 80kg lighter than standard.
No word yet on prices, or how many have been secured for UK Ferrari dealers… but you can find out more at www.ferrariworld.com
