PEUGEOT has announced that its new new 208 range will start at £9,995 for the three-door VTi 68bhp Access model.

The new car goes on sale June 28, and the French firm has also revealed the 208 will be available on its ‘Just Add Fuel’ programme, which has recently been enhanced to be available to drivers from 21 years.

Eight engines are available on 208: Five petrol, including the new generation three-cylinder engines, and three diesel.

Available in both three and five-door body style variants, the 208 is the first car bearing the French manufacturer’s new design direction.

The UK range is offered in five trim levels: Access at £9,995, rising through Access+, Active and Allure, with Feline topping at £17,445. An ‘Ice Velvet’ limited edition, priced at £18,495, will be available from launch.
