CAR DEALER’S publisher Blackball Media has appointed former HPI operations director Andy Entwistle to its team.
Entwistle has joined the company as operations director and will oversee the commercial operations of the magazine, the successful Car Dealer events as well as devising an exciting new Car Dealer Club proposition for the motor trade.
During his time at HPI, Entwistle fought for the rights of dealers across the UK and he’ll be using that experience to help Car Dealer Magazine battle for its readers too.
‘This is a great opportunity to combine my operational experience, automotive knowledge and satisfy my petrolhead streak at the same time,’ explained Entwistle.
‘Having attended Bangers4BEN twice, I’ve known Car Dealer and the team for more than three years now. I think it’s a fantastic, progressive magazine and it’s always been an interesting and entertaining read. When James offered me the opportunity to come on board I didn’t hesitate at jumping at the chance.’
Entwistle – who has worked for HPI, Mercedes Benz, Arval PHH, Peugeot and Virgin Cars – is looking forward to challenge of helping the current Business Publication of the Year get even better.
‘What the team have achieved over the last few years is fantastic, but this is just the start,’ added Entwistle. ‘We want to move the magazine on to the next level, becoming the voice of the industry, delivering industry leading events and continuing with the excellent content.
‘In the coming months I want to focus on adding even more value to Car Dealer Club and launching an online forum where dealers can come for help, advice and somewhere to talk turkey with like minded people.’
