PAUL Brayley is expanding his car retail business by taking on two new manufacturer franchises – Mazda and Kia.

Brayley is adding Mazda and Kia to his franchise portfolio, complementing his four Honda dealerships in Hemel Hempstead, Enfield, Grays and St Albans. The company was established in 2003 and employs 110 staff.

Having acquired the lease for the long vacant former Vauxhall site on the High Street, Harpenden, Brayley intends to open the dual-franchise showroom and servicing centre inthree months time, trading as Brayley’s of Harpenden. It is anticipated that the new business will create up to 35 new jobs in the area.

Commenting on the company’s growth in 2012, Brayley said: ‘Despite the challenging economic climate, I’m very excited at the prospect of developing the company further with three brands, as a customer focused and financially robust regional dealer group.

‘Since we started trading almost 10 years ago,we’ve proven that there’s a healthy market for good old fashioned service in supporting motorists, where people are well looked after.’
