Car dealer sells big!

Time 7:20 am, January 30, 2009

car-dealer-keeps-on-sellingMOTORPOINT’S stunning 2008 success has rolled over into 2009 – with yet more record results.

Last week, the car supermarket sold 786 cars – to put that into context, it’s 1 car EVERY 5.49 MINUTES.

The previous record was 758 cars in a week. And that was set earlier in January 2009…

These amazing figures mean Motorpoint is well on course to sell 35,000 vehicles in 2009. It has already shifted over 3000 in January, and recorded website traffic up over 63 per cent in the process.

David Shelton, MD of Motorpoint, said: ‘January is traditionally a quiet time for car retailers. But this month has been anything but at Motorpoint, with the company breaking record after record.

‘Although we are in a recession at the moment, our sales figures clearly show that if you offer the right product at the right price, backed by the right level of service, there will always be a market for you – no matter what the state of the economy.’
