Christmas joy for dealer

Time 10:07 am, December 24, 2008

Christmas joy for DaihatsuDAIHATSU has just won custom from a couple known by locals in Newton Abbott as Mr & Mrs Christmas.

Sheila and Phil Scott raise thousands of pounds for destitute children. After seeing a Materia while on holiday, they decided it was perfect.

Even more incredibly, they were actually on holiday in the US at the time. Hence their surprise when they discovered local dealer Highweek Garage of Newton Abbott could sell them one.

But even the distinctive Materia mini-MPV wasn’t unique enough. The couple also decided to respray it – in Lamborghini Mauve 30!

Highweeks arranged for a local spray shop to repaint the car. And naturally enough, arranged a photoshoot when they took delivery.

The Materia is now a high-visibility sight on local roads. Fantastic free PR for both Daihatsu and Highweek.

The couple said: ‘Our excellent deal with Daihatsu have made us two very happy motorists.  We have the whole package – reliability, friendly and excellent service from Highweek, great build quality, five-year warranty and a great looking car.

‘We wouldn’t buy anything else.’

The perfect example of associating yourself with the right customers.
