Citroen sale and stats

Time 7:27 am, September 2, 2008

55943cit.jpgINTERESTING statistic from Citroen: September is plate-change month, with the 58-plate starting to hit the roads.

Yet, despite the buzz from motorists attending midnight collection parties on 31st August, the company points out that most September sales occur in the second half of the month.

That’s why it’s holding a month-long September sale. To take advantage of estimates which say that 15,000 58-plate cars could hit the roads – each day.

Offers include £5,400 off a Xsara Picasso compact MPV, taking list down to below £10,000, plus the C2 city car on a £109 per month PCP scheme. The C4 family hatch can also be bought for under £10k.

The company also announced its first all-inclusive one-off payment service package for new cars.

All this, the French company will be hoping, should help give new car sales a timely and much-needed boost…
