Citroen tackles credit crunch

Time 1:17 pm, April 24, 2008

CITROEN has responded to the credit crunch by extending its zero per cent finance offers to cover half of its models.

In response to customer demand, Citroen now offers zero per cent on most of its 150 strong range, which includes everything from the C1 city car to the C-Crosser SUV and C8 MPV, with zero per cent finance over three or four years.

As an indication of its popularity, some 70 per cent of Citroen’s award winning C4 Picasso models have been sold with zero per cent finance since its launch and this trend continues with the brand new executive C5 which went on sale at the start of April.

Customers can make a saving of £2,628.32 by taking advantage of a zero per cent deal on a brand new Grand C4 Picasso 1.6HDi VTR+ compared to a typical 13.1%APR loan from a high street bank.

Xavier Duchemin, Citroën UK’s managing director, said: ‘With pressure growing on obtaining finance, our offers provide consumers with an accessible and affordable way to purchase a new car.’
