Dealer's fleet scheme

HYUNDAI Milton Keynes has embraced the maker’s fleet sales support scheme, revealed to Car Dealer last year.hyundai-aspires-to-fleet-sales

The local business ‘Think Business’ scheme aims to drive sales to organisations with between 2 and 99 cars in their fleets.

Milton Keynes has done this by employing a specialist member of staff to handle business sales – as stipulated by Whitehorn – and then utilising the various support packages available from the UK importer.

It has even taken the big step of producing its own business newsletter. This uses information from Hyundai UK to advise customers about company car information, industry news and Best Practice guidelines.

The newsletter is intentionally made simple and straightforward. No specialist fleet management knowledge is required – an intentional approach to ensure the maker is approachable to those who make car buying decisions, but may not necessarily be fleet experts.

Dealer principal Steve Turney said: ‘With the introduction of 3 significant models – the i10, i20 and i30 – in the last 18 months, we are now an attractive proposition for many more businesses.

‘Think Business will enable us to offer impartial advice to those who may need it while improving awareness of our brand and new models.’
