IT’S an unusual request. But one that didn’t stump Sandicliffe Motor Group.
GP Dr Helen Hobbs loves pink. Sandicliffe Leicester Kia was able to oblige. Cue one brand-new Kia Sorento, painted completely pink.
Needless to say, it’s the only pink Sorento in the country.
Brand manager Adey Allen said: ‘We have been asked for many things in our time, but this definitely tops the list, and is the first time a customer has ever asked for a car to be spray painted in such a vibrant colour.’
The bodyshop was able to oblige, with a full respray. It even consulted with Dr Hobbs on the exact shade of pink – and gave her the sample colour tag as a memento. She now wears it round her neck.
It’ll do nothing for residuals, and we’re not saying you should all rush out and start respraying motors. But it’s still a fine example of the great coverage going the extra mile can bring.
It’s also one highly prominent customer in the local community, telling everyone how good the dealer is: ‘The sales team were so helpful, as were the body shop who worked with me to find the exact shade of pink that I wanted and I am absolutely delighted’, said Dr. Hobbs.
