Ford grows yet more

Time 6:55 am, September 12, 2008

ford-corby-artists-impre.jpgFORD already has the country’s largest franchise network.

And, this month, it will grow by one more, as the brand opens a new retailer in Corby.

Camden Retail will bring the Ford brand back to the region for the first time in a decade, with a three-acre side serving both retail and local business customers.

General manaer Harry Pankhania will oversee both new and used car sales, plus aftersales for both cars and commercials.

There will be a seven-car showroom and space outside for 100 cars; models will range from brand-new up to five-year-old Fords. All used cars will sell under Ford Direct branding.

‘The opening of this dealership is testament to the Ford brand’s continued success and popularity amongst both retail and fleet customers,’ said Pankhania.

‘It also demonstrates an important vote of confidence in the motor retail industry, providing local people with more than 20 job opportunities. Indeed, we had an overwhelming response to a recent recruitment drive, with more than 100 applicants attending.’
