Barry Curran Motors Ltd has been appointed in the Isle of Man, taking this year’s total appointments up to eight.

A further 11 ‘hot prospects’ will increase coverage to the magic three-figure total.

The Japanese brand is hoping to capitalise on expansion into the one-tonne pickup range, following the introduction of the new Rodeo Single Cab 2.5-litre.

This enhances the range currently dominated by the Double Cab – which itself has been boosted with a high-spec 3.0-litre Denver Max LE model.

Director Barry Curran said: ‘We are very proud of our Isuzu franchise and together with our 12 experienced staff, we look forward to enhancing sales potential with Isuzu, particularly with the agricultural and utility sector.’

What’s the attraction to Isuzu? Kenyon Neads, Isuzu UK brand manager, explained. ‘The reason for our success in attracting high quality, skilled and enthusiastic new dealers is simple; the highly acclaimed new common rail Rodeo range offers dealers tremendous sales potential, with strong technical, managerial and marketing support from ourselves.’

‘In addition, many see Isuzu as a comfortable ‘bolt-on’ to an existing franchise. Set up costs are sensible with many aftersales and servicing opportunities.’
