Account Manager required for a Scotland / North East territory role

**Automotive / Motor Trade vacancy – Vehicle Accident Management / Insurance provider**

Monday-Friday hours
Basic Salary £25,625 + Bonus

We have a full time, permanent vacancy for an Account Manager based in or around Scotland / North East, due to the success and continued growth of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver account development across a portfolio of accounts in order to ensure delivery against business objectives and target
  • Achieve on plan performance against agreed monthly revenue/hire start targets
  • Effectively manage account portfolio to ensure referral volumes and number of unique referrers are maximized
  • Build effective relationships within accounts, ensuring regular contact is maintained with all staff involved in the referral process, key influencers, and appropriate decision makers in order to enhance and develop relationships and maximise referral volumes
  • Monitor account activity to identify trends and forecast performance against sales targets – proactively investigate under-performance and agree/implement remedial action
  • Maximise sales initiatives and incentive programmes to drive increased referrals, claims, hires and revenue related activity
  • Work closely with Regional and National Sales Manager to ensure smooth implementation of the retention program

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Demonstrable field-based business development, account management experience, Ideally within the automotive industry
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and increasing business volumes and revenue
  • Ideally an existing industry knowledge and understanding of the marketplace
  • Demonstrate the required level of commercial awareness and understand and assist in managing account profitability
  • Clear, concise, and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable data integration and MI skills – ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics
  • Good organisational skills, able to plan and manage time effectively
  • Positive approach to building new relationships and networking
  • Ability to form effective external/internal working relationships at all levels
  • Competent with using (MS Office) MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Willingness to travel
  • Geographically located within close proximity of sales territory (Scotland / North East).Adaptable, tenacious self-starter who is results orientated
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Would suit someone from either a car showroom background or with experience with an Automotive supplier.
