An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional, and versatile individual to join the New Vehicle Sales Department in the role of Fleet Solutions Manager. Location flexible within the North West dependent upon candidate.


Reporting to the New Vehicle Sales Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the Fleet Solutions Department, providing specialist Driver Training/Consultation to customers, conduct vehicle handovers to internal and external customers and work closely with Volvo Trucks Warwick in the promotion of the Volvo Connect and Digital Services to the company customer base.

The role will also be responsible for:

  • Providing a fuel economy/fleet solutions service to customers.
  • Supporting customers with Volvo Connect accounts and to deliver the appropriate training.
  • Arrange and support the movement of vehicles as required.
  • Oversee the New Vehicle and Demo handovers to ensure all roles are fully utilised and arrange monthly reviews with department staff to review planning of handovers, workload, and utilisation.
  • Manage the customer rota & delivery/collection of Demonstrator vehicles including vehicle handover
  • Supporting Thomas Hardie and the New Vehicle Sales team in achieving their VECTO targets.
  • General day-today supervision of the department and Driver Development staff.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Be outgoing, enthusiastic, focused and be capable of working in a team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Have excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have previous experience of delivering effective driver training/consultations to a wide variety of different skill levels, with demonstrable coaching and development skills.
  • Previous experience within a similar role and within a supervisory capacity within the Commercial Vehicle Industry
  • Awareness of Commercial Vehicle Legislation including CPC, Working Time Directive and Tacho/Driving download data storage
  • Be prepared to travel to and work from other THC and /or customer locations as required
  • IT literate with Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Have a full and current UK driving licence & HGV licence.
