A development opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional, and versatile individual to join our multi award winning Used Vehicle Sales Team at the Middlewich Depot in the capacity of PDI Used Truck Vehicle Reconditioner working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm.

 

Reporting to the Used Truck Business Development Manager, the main job function will be to carry out mechanical repairs on vehicles to the highest standards on behalf of the Used Truck Sales department including the maintenance and upkeep of the Used Truck department tooling and equipment.

Other duties will include:

  • Regular interaction with the PDI Team Supervisor to discuss and agree workloads time frames and any other mechanical workloads
  • Defect management and scheduling of any repair needs on all used vehicles
  • Control repairs and maintenance of all departmental tooling and ancillary equipment
  • MOT test slot management
  • Preparation of selected vehicles for MOT
  • Quality control and all associated paperwork on sold trucks, making sure repairs are carried out to the highest standards possible
  • To manage the amount of standing used stock parts, tyres, parts, spares, and other items as required
  • To carry out on site vehicle movements as required
  • Steam cleaning and valeting during peak times as required
  • Fuel management
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Pay particular attention to C.O.S.H.H regulation notices displayed and ensure precautionary measures are always taken

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Previous experience within the industry and within a similar role
  • A friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skill
  • Be able to work on their own initiative as well as in part of a larger team
  • Full and current driving licence is essential
  • Minor mechanical improver skills and basic valeting skills.
  • FLT/HGV licence would be preferred but is not essential.
