About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to join our very first Jaguar Land Rover Service Centre Ascot, part of the Sytner Group, based in Bracknell. We have been established now for a year, and are looking for someone to join us in at an exciting time as we continue to grow.

Supporting our Aftersales Manager, you will manage & lead a strong team in delighting our customers and getting it right first time. You will oversee our team of highly skilled and knowledgeable Vehicle Technicians, Apprentices and Workshop Controllers, providing them valuable support & direction, ensuring their continued development by way of individual training plans. As the workshop manager you will have a daily, weekly focus on the productivity and efficiency of the workshop, assisting them in achieving their productivity targets and driving these forward. It is important to us that our Mangers whilst delivering their role, they also take time to celebrate and have fun with their team, we encourage new incentives and ways of celebrating with them.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety within the workshop, and supporting this throughout the business.

As well as delivering a full Aftersales service to our customers, whilst assisting the Aftersales Manager with maximising profitability and the sales of parts, labour hours, MOT, lubricants, tyres and subcontracted sales. You will be an integral member of the Management Team and deliver the very best customer service with clear vision to run an efficient and professional service operation.

About you

Previous experience in a similar role within the motor industry is essential as well as a strong technical knowledge. Ideally, you will have the ability to work in a high pressured environment and have fantastic leadership skills that can drive a team forward.

You should strive for operational excellence and have a strategic mind-set, whilst ensuring that the customer always comes first.
