RENAULT has given thousands of buyers lengthy Laguna test drives – now the Megane’s joined its 24-hour fleet.
The firm hopes to entice buyers by loaning them the car either for an entire day, or a whole weekend – for free.
The process is booked online, and prospective customers can have the car delivered to their private or home address.
So what’s in it for Renault dealers? Mick Moore, director, customer management, Renault UK, said: ‘Naturally, customers are being cautious with their choice of car in the current economic climate.
‘As a result, we feel there is great opportunity for the Megane to appeal to drivers wishing to downsize. He feels that extended periods driving the car will help convince prospective customers as to its merits.
Test drives really can be booked just by the click of a mouse for free, until 15th December 2009. Drivers have to be 25 or over, resident in the UK and possess a clean driving licence.
