new-ducati-dealer-for-wales1DUCATI will open a new motorcycle dealership in Cardiff in the spring – providing a welcome boost to bikers.

Riders Motorcycles of Somerset will expand to 3 dealers, supplementing the existing Riders Bridgwater and Ducati Bristol sites.

Phil Jessopp MD of Riders said: ‘This fits perfectly with our long term growth strategy. We will give the motorcyclists of South Wales a class leading dealership, with access to all the facilities and services expected from Riders.’

Jessopp is also keen to attract ‘local sport bike enthusiasts’.

The site is expected to be finished in the spring. The new bike dealer will service both new and used bikes, providing 15 new jobs.

A 10,000 sq ft showroom will house factory trained technicians, and also sell parts, accessories and clothing. There is even a Riders café!

Ducati MD, Tim Maccabee, is chuffed to get another Riders site on board. ‘Through their existing dealerships in Bristol and Bridgwater, Phil Jessopp and the Riders team have demonstrated a passion for Ducati and the highest levels of customer service.

‘It’s always good to extend our network coverage to new areas of the country, and we have been absent in South Wales for too long.’

Does he have any specific criteria for taking on new bike dealers? ‘We have to be confident that any new dealership meets or exceeds customer expectations,’ he explained.

‘Working with Riders, we can be 100 per cent confident of that.’
