Peugeot post record sales

peugeot-dealer-rcz-uk-first2010 saw Peugeot celebrate not only its 200th anniversary but also the posting of record-breaking sales.

Record sales of 2,142,000 units helped Peugeot consolidate its position as the world’s leading French automobile marque, with sales up by 16.3 per cent delivering a 3 per cent worldwide market share.

In Europe, Peugeot saw its sales grow for the third year running, up by 3.3 per cent. Its cars and light commercial vehicles market share increased by 0.3 per cent versus 2009, up to 7.6 per cent. Peugeot moved up one place, becoming the fourth marque on the European market for the first time in its history.


Meanwhile, in the UK, Peugeot achieved volume growth – up 8.5 per cent with 126,000 registrations and increased market share – 5.6 per cent versus 5.3 per cent.

For 2011, Peugeot will be introducing the 508, an increased number of low CO2 emission vehicles with e-HDi technology, all-electric iOn, and the arrival of the 3008 HYbrid4.
