New SEAT aftersales head

100708sea.jpgSEAT UK has a new head of aftersales – poached from Vauxhall.

Nigel Griggs takes over from Gary Wells, who’s off to India with Volkswagen.

Griggs joins SEAT from leading, since 2006, the UK Vauxhall aftersales sales operations team. You probably know him from there, or via one of his 35 field managers. Before that, he worked for GM Europe for three years, following a number of senior aftersales roles for Vauxhall.

His new role sees him take overall responsibility for SEAT UK customer satisfaction and parts sales objectives, and developing and enhancing the strategic direction of the brand’s aftersales operation.

He said: ‘I think the next few months are set to be a particularly exciting time for the SEAT brand. With several important new products being introduced, our objective in aftersales is really quite a simple one: we must focus our energy and efforts to ensure our customers have the best possible aftersales experience.

‘Working closely with our SEAT retailer partners, we will grow our business together by concentrating on customer retention as the key building block for a successful, sustainable business.’
