051007vw.jpgONE of the UK’s largest independent motoring groups has launched a groundbreaking initiative – Price Promise.

Aimed at growing its service and repair business, Benfield Motor Group’s new scheme guarantees to match any like-for-like price on service and repairs.

The aim is to dispel the myth that quality service means a premium price, while also showcasing, says the company, how competitive its prices are. Benfield will match any like for like price on servicing and repairs, including tyres, exhausts, brakes and clutches.

David Collins, commercial director at Benfield explains: ‘There is a misconception that because of the superior service we offer, we must charge our customers more than local, independent garages and fast fit outlets. This is why we have launched our Price Promise initiative to demonstrate that main dealer service needn’t come at a premium price.’

‘Initial feedback has been great, with customers coming to us with what they consider to be competitive quotes that are actually higher than our usual prices. What better reinforcement do we need for our price promise message?’

Price Promise is now available across Benfield’s 25 dealerships. Many rival groups, we’re sure, will be monitoring it with interest.
