SSANGYONG Motor UK wants to add at least another 15 dealers to its network by the end of the year, the firm’s CEO has told Car Dealer.

Visiting our offices today, SsangYong Motor UK CEO, Paul Williams, said his team was looking for more dealers to add to its expanding franchise network, and is aiming to add another 15 outlets, at least, by the end of the year.

Williams said dealers joining the network would need to invest around £10k and could select their incentive bands.

The additional dealers would follow today’s news of the appointment of 10 new dealers, bringing the current total to 48 sales and service dealerships and 11 service centres.

‘We keep things simple yet professional, and with short lines of communication, quick decisions are assured,’ said Williams.

‘We offer dealer-selected objectives, competitive and straightforward dealer margins, all backed by a full range of support including a floorplan facility that is not linked to retail finance, plus a good parts supply.’

The new appointments cover the areas of Somerset, Norfolk, South Wales, Glasgow, Maidenhead, East Yorkshire, Inverness, London, Sussex and Northampton.

‘We are delighted to welcome these 10 new additions to the SsangYong franchise. The current trading conditions continue to be testing for everyone, customers, dealers and manufacturers/importers alike, and with uncertainty amongst some dealer networks, SsangYong is seen as a brand that makes a lot of sense,’ added Williams.

The open points are: Aberdeen, Borders, Newcastle, Teesside, Leeds, Bradford, Nottingham, Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Coventry, Watford, Leicester, Reading, Exeter, Southampton, London/South East, Mid & North Wales.
