JILL Bastable from Brighton winning a competition in The Sun isn’t normally the sort of thing that grabs our attention.But her prize was a Suzuki Swift, as part of the company’s partnership with Disney for the promotion of the WALL.E film.Which gave local dealer Maxmatt some great local PR. Local newspapers love this sort of stuff.They were pictured handing over the keys for the competition prize – and as promotional platforms go, having the country’s most widely-read tabloid on board is pretty bold stuff.Suzuki GB supplied the car to the dealer, so their involvement was to conduct the usual handover process to the customer. This was no different to any other handover process. Well, save for the presence of the paparazzi.Mind you, all Suzuki dealers got involved in the film’s promotion. WALL.E themed areas were created, to give away goodie bags and cinema tickets to those taking a test drive over July’s promotional weekend.Customers also had the chance to win a WALL.E space-themed holiday to Florida; entries online were backed up by dealer-based entry system.We’re sure this will provide the dealer lucky enough to have the winner in their locality with further added PR material…
