TrustFord reeled in more than £3,600 for Cancer Research UK thanks to this year’s fishing match.

The annual event, held at Messingham Sands Fishery in Scunthorpe, is now in its sixth year and saw colleagues, suppliers and customers competing to land the biggest catch.

The 21 anglers caught more than 1,400lb of fish combined, with Wes Turton – part of the extended TrustFord family – winning with a whopping 136lb 2oz!

TrustFord sales director David Cox said: ‘We have been overwhelmed at the support over recent years, having raised over £20,000 for Cancer Research UK.

‘As much as the event is about creating some healthy competition, it is an opportunity to help raise vital funds for charity.

‘Thank you to everyone who got involved and more importantly those who have donated.’

Stuart Foulds, chairman and chief executive of TrustFord, said: ‘At TrustFord, being a good corporate citizen is a very natural part of how we do business, and I’m delighted to see our annual charity fishing match continue for 2020, raising funds for vital research.’
