Chinese car giant Chery is preparing to launch another brand in the UK, with iCAUR set to arrive in early 2027.
The manufacturer has confirmed that its new brand will make its British debut with the V27, a five-seat electrified SUV designed to combine off-road capability with everyday practicality.
iCAUR will operate as a standalone brand in the UK, with its own dedicated management team and route to market, although details of its dealer network have yet to be announced.
The latest arrival will further expand Chery’s presence in Britain, following the launch of Omoda in 2024 and the subsequent introduction of Jaecoo and Chery-branded vehicles.
The V27 will spearhead the new brand’s launch, with a boxy design featuring pronounced wheel arches, a high beltline and squared-off bodywork.
Inside, the SUV features a combination of digital displays and physical buttons, with an emphasis on cabin space and practicality.
The interior has already received recognition at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Awards, where it won the Best Interior Design Award in the Premium Car Category.
Under the bonnet, the V27 will use an electrified powertrain developed by Chery International, although the manufacturer has yet to confirm full technical specifications, pricing or performance figures for UK models.
Chery has also confirmed that the SUV will undergo further development at its new UK research and development facility at UTAC Millbrook.
Engineers will use the site to refine the vehicle specifically for British roads ahead of its introduction next year.
The launch will coincide with Chery Automobile’s 30th anniversary and comes as the Chinese manufacturer continues to expand its operations in the UK.
While iCAUR will benefit from Chery’s existing resources and engineering expertise, the company says it will establish a separate identity and customer experience.
Further details of the brand’s UK launch plans, including the V27’s specifications, are expected in the coming months.
Meanwhile, iCAUR is preparing to unveil another model, the V25, at its International User Summit next week.
