With sourcing stock still high on every dealer’s priority list, choosing the right auction partner has never been more important.

Dealers praised two businesses for their service, professionalism and stock availability.

Congratulations to this year’s Highly Commended firms, Manheim and Central Car Auctions.

But the winner is a company that continues to stand out for its customer service, digital innovation and nationwide reach.

G3 Vehicle Auctions has won this award five times in the last six years, cementing its position as a favourite among dealers.

Managing director Gareth Jones said the award remained one of the highlights of the year because it comes directly from dealer customers.

‘Genuinely, it feels amazing,’ he told Car Dealer. ‘I know it’s been a few times now that we’ve done it, but every time it’s one that we keep an eye out for.

‘We know it’s voted for by car dealers and Car Dealer readers, so it’s really important for us.

‘When the votes come in, we know it’s been voted for by our customers and that’s really, really important.

‘It shows that what we do, and what we continue to do, appears to be the right thing for our customers.’

Jones said the latest success was also recognition for the wider G3 team.

‘It’s a thank you to the [Car Dealer] readers, it’s a thank you to all our staff as well,’ he said.

‘It’s all part of the passion of what we offer. It’s very much about the service and the way that we perceive ourselves in the industry. It’s what brings dealers coming back to us time and time again.’

Asked why dealers continue to vote G3 as Auction House of the Year, Jones said maintaining consistently high standards across every part of the business was key.

‘We’ve worked really hard to keep our standards high. It’s kind of as simple as that really,’ he said.

‘It starts at the front desk, it’s on the phones, it continues on to the rostrums with the auctioneers.

‘Everything we do is either physical, in the hall, online or through the app, and we do them all simultaneously.

‘It’s really important for us to have that interaction with customers.

‘We fly the flag for real auctioneers selling real cars in a real hall and that’s really important.’

The business has continued to expand over the past year, increasing the number of sales it holds while strengthening its LCV offering.

‘We do live sales daily. We do nine sales a week now,’ Jones said. ‘It’s really busy every single day.

‘We’ve done a lot of work in the LCV space over the last 12 months, working with some of the biggest names but also some of the smallest names in the local region and the people in between.

‘We try and satisfy everybody’s needs, but the main piece comes back to the buyers that come into the hall.

‘The focus that we put into that is what keeps these guys coming back and long may that continue.’

G3 Vehicles Auctions was purchased by US-based company America’s Auto Auction in April 2026.

We’re riding the crest of the wave,’ he said.

‘We’ve been doing brilliantly for the last four or five years since we moved into this Castleford centre and then made the acquisition of the Bedford centre.

‘We’ve had 25 to 30% growth year on year anyway and what’s happened in the last six months or so will see us kick on.

‘We’ve got big ambitions, not just in the auction world. There’s other areas of the automotive industry that we’re looking to get into.

‘There’s nothing too big for us now.’
