JCB Group has strengthened its Volkswagen presence in Kent after acquiring the assets of Euro Canterbury Volkswagen’s passenger car business, TPS centre, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle authorised repairer operation and Suzuki aftersales specialist business.
The acquisition adds a new site on Broad Oak Road in Canterbury to the family-owned dealer group’s network, taking its total number of Volkswagen passenger car dealerships in Kent to five, alongside existing operations in Ashford, Maidstone, Medway and Tunbridge Wells.
The deal also establishes JCB Group as the only TPS Trade Parts Specialists representative in Kent.
In addition, the acquisition of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle authorised repairer operation means the business says it is now the county’s only dedicated Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle specialist for both sales and aftersales support.
The passenger car operation will trade as JCB Volkswagen Canterbury, while the commercial vehicle business will be renamed JCB Van Service Centre Canterbury. The site will also continue to operate as a Suzuki aftersales specialist.
