Tracy Woods has been appointed to the newly created role of chief marketing officer at car dealer group Lookers.
She joins the group with experience from Heycar, Carwow and, most recently, tech firm Marshmallow.
The franchised dealer group said that she will have responsibility for brand, marketing, customer contact strategy and digital.
Senior leadership at Lookers has been through a bit of a shake up recently and the group still doesn’t have a managing director since James Brearley left in October.
Last week, non-executive director for the group’s finance arm Lookers Motor Group Limited, Marcia Campbell, was also terminated from her position on Companies House.
Lookers chair Alex Smith said: ‘I’m delighted to welcome Tracy as our chief marketing officer. She joins the group and our future-focused team at an exciting time.
‘The quality of brands we represent and our significant customer base makes the CMO role very attractive and Tracy’s deep experience and insights will help to drive us forward with maximum effect.’
Woods said: ‘Lookers is one of the UK and Ireland’s largest, longest-established and most successful automotive retailers groups and I’m thrilled to be joining a highly experienced team to support its growth and performance ambitions.’
Lookers was the third most profitable business in Car Dealer Top 100 2025 and ranked fourth by turnover.
Group chair Smith said in a memo last year that Lookers will ‘double down’ on its ambitions to become ‘the number one dealer group in the UK’.
