A man was arrested today after an Isuzu pick-up truck was driven through the window of a McLaren showroom in Solihull, damaging at least two cars.
The incident took place just around 3.45pm yesterday at the Ryland Specialist Cars showroom on Stratford Road in Hockley Heath.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after with ambulance and fire service also attending the scene.
Photos show a McLaren 750S and McLaren GT were both struck when the Isuzu broke through the windows of the showroom.
West Midlands Police said that a nearby pub window was also damaged and people were threatened during the incident.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and police have said he will remain in custody while they continue investigations.
According to Birmingham Live, a spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service commented: ‘At 3.51pm on December 7, 2025, we were called by West Midlands Police to attend an incident involving a vehicle that had been driven into a car showroom on the Stratford Road, Hockley Heath, Solihull.
‘A single fire engine from Solihull Fire Station attended the incident. West Midlands Police were at the scene and had detained a man.’
