Nissan dealers are turning to one of the brand’s most famous performance cars to add a bit of interest to the usual winter aftersales push.

Customers booking a qualifying Winter Health Check will be handed a 319-piece Lego Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 as part of the manufacturer’s latest autumn campaign.

The model is based on the R34 made famous by the Fast & Furious films and is being used as an incentive to get owners back into dealerships ahead of the colder months.

The health check itself costs £39.99 and covers 20 areas including tyres, brakes, battery condition and lights and any Nissan can receive a check at their local Nissan dealership.

The promotion is a slightly different take on the seasonal servicing and maintenance campaigns routinely used by dealer networks to generate workshop traffic during autumn and winter.

Nico Belaud, aftersales director at Nissan Motor GB, said: ‘Winter can place extra demands on a vehicle, which is why our Winter Health Check focuses on some of the most important components for safe and reliable driving, including tyres, brakes, battery condition and other key safety items – so customers can head into the colder months with confidence.

‘The Lego Nissan Skyline GT-R adds a bit of fun to the experience. It’s a great way to reward customers for taking proactive care of their vehicle while celebrating one of the most iconic cars in Nissan’s history.’

The giveaway uses Lego set 76917, a 15cm-long recreation of the Skyline GT-R driven by Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Conner in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
