Skoda owners can now print their own car accessories at home after the manufacturer released a range of free 3D-printable designs.
Available through online database Printables, the accessories include cupholders, storage boxes, cable management tools and coin boxes designed by Skoda’s own engineers and designers.
Many fit multiple models without requiring modifications, with Skoda aiming to help customers avoid long waits by printing them at home.
The new feature is part of the Czech brand’s ‘Simply Clever’ features, which allow buyers to personalise their Skoda’s with accessories including umbrellas in the doors and integrated ice scrapers in the fuel filler cap.
The latest designs cover current and discontinued models, giving owners of older cars access to additional storage and convenience features.
New accessories have also been developed for the Peaq and Epiq, including cupholder covers, a larger storage box and a lower console organiser.
One design is a clip-on cupholder for the Peaq’s foldable table, which can be printed in different sizes to accommodate cups of varying dimensions.
Skoda said some of the new accessories were developed in response to requests from its community.
All designs are available to view and download through the Printables website.
