Two of the UK motor trade’s biggest hitters are to continue working together after Arnold Clark extended its long-standing partnership with Solera Cap HPI.
The Car Dealer Top 100 leader has signed the new three-year agreement covering a full suite of Solera Cap HPI data and services, continuing a relationship that has been in place for many years.
The move designed to help the dealer group acquire better vehicles, improve efficiency and support profitability across its used-car businesses.
The renewal includes continued access to cap hpi valuations and HPI provenance checks, alongside the Daily Movement Report, which provides detailed intelligence on used-vehicle values, supporting buying and pricing decisions.
The group will also continue to use its bespoke Arnold Clark Approved Check, developed with Solera Cap HPI, to ensure comprehensive due diligence is carried out on every vehicle.
The check includes mileage investigation data, plus Solera Cap HPI’s latest Incident History data in its systems.
The data will be used across both Arnold Clark and Central Car Auctions, with integration into the group’s Invent auction management platform, enabling buyers to identify previously unrecorded damage events earlier in the vehicle appraisal process.
Stuart Thorpe, company secretary at Arnold Clark, said: ‘Our relationship with Solera Cap HPI has been built over many years because its data consistently helps us make better commercial decisions.
‘Reliable valuation and provenance information are fundamental to how we buy, manage and retail vehicles.
‘Renewing for a further three years reflects the confidence we have in both the quality of the data and the partnership behind it.
‘The continued development of services such as Incident History, together with the integration into our own systems, will help us improve efficiency, strengthen due diligence and continue delivering confidence for our customers.’
Wendy Swaine, head of strategic relationships at Solera Cap HPI, said: ‘Arnold Clark is one of the UK’s most respected automotive retailers, so extending our partnership is something we’re incredibly proud of.
‘Long-term relationships are built on trust, consistency and a shared commitment to continual improvement.
‘The business continues to evolve how it uses data across retail and remarketing, from valuation insight through the Daily Movement Report to integrating our latest Incident History intelligence into its own platforms.
‘That demonstrates how high-quality automotive data can support better decisions, reduce risk and improve profitability throughout the vehicle lifecycle.’
